A federal judge has dismissed tax charges against former President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden, following the breakdown of a plea deal. The plea deal had been reached between Hunter Biden and the Department of Justice back in December.
The charges were brought against Hunter Biden for allegedly failing to pay taxes on foreign income from China. However, the judge said that the deal had been violated when Hunter Biden did not provide certain financial documents.
Despite the dismissal, the Justice Department may still be able to pursue criminal charges against Hunter Biden. The ruling does not prevent federal prosecutors from indicting Hunter Biden for tax crimes or any other crimes that they believe he may have committed.
